Both the President-elect Bola Tinubu and the Vice President-elect Kashim Shettima will be honoured with the title of Grand Commander of the Order of the Federal Republic or the Order of the Niger, depending on which award is more fitting for each individual.
At the moment, the ceremony is taking place at the State House Conference Centre in Abuja.
The event will be one of the activities that will take place in preparation for the inauguration on May 29.
The handing over of transition documents to Tinubu and Shettima would take place immediately following the investiture.
