Nasir el-Rufai, the governor of Kaduna, stated that if Bola Tinubu’s administration offers him the position of minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), he will not accept it.
El-Rufai made this statement on Tuesday at a policy discussion and book launch in Abuja.
He was well-known for demolishing illegitimate structures while serving as the FCT minister under President Olusegun Obasanjo.
The governor claims he will never “repeat class” and says he can suggest “young people” for the position.
I won’t be traveling to Abuja, even if offered. As I’ve already stated, I never repeat a class, and there are plenty of young individuals I can recommend who would perform better than I did.
“This is beyond my years. Get a young person with blood in his veins or a young woman because I’m too old to do demolition, El-Rufai stated.
