Gunmen have kidnapped Amadi Osaronu, the All Progressives Congress (APC) secretary for Rivers State’s Ikwerre Local Government Area.
This occurs just 24 hours after gunmen abducted Chukwudi Ogbonna, a candidate for the Accord Party (AP) in the Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni Local Government Area Constituency 2 of the Rivers State House of Assembly during the March 18 election.
According to reports, Osaronu was kidnapped on Wednesday from his home in Aluu by masked gunmen.

Darlington Nwauju, the State APC Publicity Secretary, confirmed the incident on Thursday.
The Peoples Democratic Party would suffer a crushing defeat on March 18, he claimed, and no amount of coercion and arm-twisting could change that.
No statement regarding the incident has been made by the State Police Command.
