Ugwuanyi remains Nigeria’s most peaceful governor – Fr. Mbaka

Rev. Fr. Ejike Mbaka, Spiritual Director of Adoration Ministry Enugu Nigeria (AMEN), said on Tuesday that Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu State remains the country’s most peaceful governor.

Rev. Fr. Mbaka went on to say that Ugwuanyi is a father to all and a very friendly governor who can’t live without making peace, emphasizing that “peace should be his name.”

The Spiritual Director said peace is in the Governor’s nature and “peace is in his integrity” when he led a delegation of Red Star Belgrade and Antalyaspor football clubs from Serbia and Turkey to the Government House in Enugu for a courtesy visit to Gov. Ugwuanyi.

The cleric explained to the Governor that the Serbian and Turkish delegations were “football Scouts who decided to use Enugu State for their scouting activity,” and that they had come to Enugu on behalf of Adoration Football Club.

Rev. Fr. Mbaka revealed that the Adoration ministry’s youth who can play football are participating in the sport and may be selected to play international football for their clubs in Serbia and Turkey.

Uche Dominic Egbukwu, CEO of UDE Sports Management Limited, who was recently appointed as the Sporting Director of Adoration Football Club in Enugu State (South East), praised Gov. Ugwuanyi for his calm demeanor and exceptional leadership qualities.

“Among all the eastern governors, you (Ugwuanyi) are number one in terms of not having any controversy,” he says. We hold you in high regard, as does the government of Enugu State. This is a peaceful place with no security issues, and the people of Enugu State adore you.”

Mr. Milos, the Sporting Director and Chief Scouts of Serbia’s Red Star Belgrade Football Club, thanked Gov. Ugwuanyi for his hospitality and for welcoming them, and expressed optimism that they would find many players in Enugu following the scouting activity.

Gov. Ugwuanyi responded by welcoming the delegation to Enugu State and praising their choice of Enugu for the international sporting event.

The Governor assured them of his administration’s support, emphasizing that Enugu State is a peaceful state with a plethora of talents who can contribute to football’s global success.

“We will gain a lot if our people are discovered,” he said.

Rev. Fr. Mbaka and his team were praised by Gov. Ugwuanyi for their initiative to promote sports development in the state and beyond.
