Bamise Ayanwole: How My Bus Was Used To Kidnap Murdered 22-Year-Old – BRT Driver Confesses

Andrew Nice, the arrested BRT bus driver, has described how Oluwabamise Ayanwole was kidnapped in his bus.

The 22-year-old, who had been reported missing, was discovered dead on Carter Bridge in Lagos Island’s Ogogoro Community on Monday.

Nice was later apprehended by Department of State Services (DSS) operatives in Ogun State and handed over to the Lagos Police Command.

The BRT driver was paraded by Lagos Commissioner of Police, Abiodun Alabi, at the Command’s headquarters in Ikeja following his arrest.

Nice revealed how the deceased was kidnapped, saying he chose her from Chevron and three other men along the way.

The three passengers, according to the BRT driver, showed him their guns and told him to cooperate.

Nice claimed that after seeing their weapons, he was no longer himself because he obeyed their orders.

The BRT driver said the assailants ordered him to stop and open the bus door when he arrived at Carter Bridge, as instructed by them.

Nice claimed that three men dragged Oluwabamise along with them after he opened the door.

He admitted that he couldn’t do anything while the deceased cried for help.

The driver claimed he fled rather than reporting the incident to the police because he was afraid.

“I picked her from Chevron, and the other three guys at…when those guys show me his weapon while I was inside, I can’t be myself anymore,” Nice says.

“Fears have arrived, so I’ll do whatever the man with the gun says.” I followed that Carter Bridge, that overhead bridge, and they told me to stop there. They said I should open the door, and when I did, they came down and started dragging her. I was helpless when I saw her crying for help.” (sic)
