“As leading American brands expand their investment portfolio, providing job opportunities and supporting economic diversification objectives,” Pierangelo said, “the United States is proud to be one of the largest foreign investors in Nigeria.”
Pierangelo stated during the facility’s commissioning ceremony that Nigeria is a critical market for American companies, and that improving the investment climate would result in more milestones for both countries.
“The United States Mission to Nigeria continues to work with our Nigerian counterparts to promote an environment that is welcoming to American businesses.” We will achieve mutually beneficial outcomes through this model of cooperation, including increased investment, capacity for job creation, and partnerships, all while improving the lives of workers and consumers,” Pierangelo added.
The commissioning of the new facility, according to Pierangelo, demonstrates the United States’ commitment to deepening its trade and investment ties with Nigeria. She praised Kimberly-Clark for its investment in Nigeria, as well as the company’s contribution to improving Nigerians’ hygiene and health.
