To alleviate their sufferings, the Federal Government gave all returnees from Ukraine $100 (approximately N48,000) on Friday.

Mr Abdur-Rahman Balogun, the Head of Media and Public Relations at the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM) in Abuja, made the statement.

According to our source, the first group of 450 Nigerians stranded in Ukraine arrived in Abuja via the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport on Friday morning.

According to Balogun, the returnees, who are mostly students, arrived in Nigeria at 7:10 a.m. on a Max Air flight 747.
