He stated that his ambition is to bring about national rebirth and renewal by rekindling the Nigerian people’s boundless energy, imagination, and creativity in order to achieve the country’s manifest destiny.
According to Hayatu-Deen, an accomplished economist, the country requires a unique type of leader who possesses the skills, character, and experience necessary to safely navigate the people through turbulent waters “to a much brighter and better place reflective of the nation’s rich potentials for greatness.”
He told the audience that his ambition was to be able to solve the most pressing issues in Nigeria, which he described as “hunger, poverty, disease, and insecurity.”
“I believe I am the person who can provide such uncommon leadership with clarity, conviction, and dynamism,” he said, emphasizing that national security would be his top priority.
“Everyone understands that the country is facing a monumental crisis of confidence approaching existential proportions,” he said.
“In addition, my interactions and travels throughout this beautiful country, across Africa, and around the world have given me a powerful insight into the Nigerian people’s DNA.”
“We are the most energised, dynamic, and enterprising people on the planet.” The Nigerian people can perform economic miracles if they are given an enabling environment of good public service delivery systems, free of red tape and abrasive rent seeking culture. I want to give the Nigerian people plenty of room to demonstrate their God-given entrepreneurial abilities through industry, hard work, and innovation.”

In response to the security situation, the former banker stated that relevant institutions will be fully mobilized to bring the situation under control.
He also stated that addressing gender issues and fostering human capital development in order to fully realize the enormous potential of women and youths would be top priorities for him.
Hayatu-Deen went on to say that he understands the country’s opportunities and challenges and that he has the skills, background, and experience to get the job done.
“As an economist, I am well aware of the distinction between successful countries that produce economic miracles and laggard countries.
“I know this because I’ve successfully turned around the fortunes of Nigeria’s largest group holding company and a dormant Federal Government Bank.” I know how to use international alliances and partnerships to tap into deep reservoirs of investment funds all over the world to help Nigeria fund its rapid development,” he added.
