Naziru Sani, a member of the Bello Turji terrorist camp, has admitted to killing over 20 people in several attacks across Nigeria’s northwest.
Turji was said to be on a police wanted list after allegedly taking part in a number of deadly attacks on innocent people in the states of Katsina, Zamfara, and Sokoto.
When SP Gambo Isah, the Police PRO in Katsina state, paraded Sani at the Command’s headquarters on Tuesday, he revealed the number of people he has killed.
“I am Bello Turji’s boy,” Sani explained in Hausa. I’m a subordinate to him.

“Under the command of my boss, Turji, I have been involved in community attacks and have killed over 20 people in the past, but I have repented now.”
“I ran for my life from the Jangebe forest in Zamfara, where Turji is currently hibernating.” While trying to get to Suleja, Niger State, where my parents live, I was arrested by the police in Funtua. In Makera Village, Tsafe LGA, Zamfara, I left my wife and children.
“We are very many,” Sani said when asked about Turji’s boys’ numerical strength and how much they are paid for each attack. I don’t have an exact figure, but we’re in the thousands, and after each operation, I get between N20,000 and N30,000.”
