Why Can’t You Help Your People? – Singer Simi Slams Nigeria’s Government

Simisola Kosoko, better known as Simi, a Nigerian singer, has slammed the Nigerian government for failing to help and cater for her people.
The mother of one used Twitter to join others in lamenting a variety of issues in the country, ranging from insecurity to rising food prices, among other things.

The singer questioned the government on why it has been unable to fix the country and assist her people in her tweet.

Simi also stated that if the Nigerian government fixes the country, there is a lot to gain.

She urged the government to assist citizens, noting that they are too focused on the big picture in improving the system.

As she puts it: I do not, for the life of me, understand how the government does not see how they, we have so much much much more to gain if they actually fixed the country. Why are they blind to the big picture. How much can you steal? How much can you spend? Why can’t you help your people?”
