The application, according to Animashaun, is to allow the police to wrap up their investigation into a case involving threats to life and property, violence, cultism, mayhem, conduct likely to cause a breach of peace, unlawful possession of firearms, conspiracy, and murder, which was filed against the three men.
Inspector Monday Ohion, one of the investigating officers, deposed him, and he supported the remand application with a 14-paragraph affidavit.
“I find merit in the application, and it is accordingly granted,” Chief Magistrate Balogun said after hearing Animashaun’s arguments. The three defendants will be held for the next 30 days in the Nigeria Police Zonal Monitoring Unit, Zone 2 Headquarters, Onikan-Lagos, to allow the police to complete their investigation.”
