A magistrate court has remanded Abubakar Usman, 30, in custody for the alleged murders of three of his siblings.
Sgt. Philips Amusan, the prosecutor, told the court that on January 13, the accused murdered his siblings, two minors and an adult, in the Oke-Orogun area of Saki, Oyo State.

The defendant allegedly killed Abdullahi Abdulkadri, 13, and Ismail Abdulkadri, 11, by inflicting wounds on their bodies with a cutlass, while Bello Abdulkadri, 30, was also murdered with a machete on the same date, time, and location.
According to the prosecutor, the crime was committed in violation of Section 316 of the Criminal Code Laws of Oyo State, 2000, and is punishable under Section 319 of the law.
Before passing judgment, the judge, Magistrate Abimbola Amole-Ajimoti, said she needed advice from the Oyo State Director of Public Prosecutions.

She then remanded the accused at Abolongo Correctional Centre in Oyo, and adjourned the case until March 15.
