Nigeria reported six deaths and 537 new COVID-19 cases on Sunday across seven states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
According to the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control’s (NCDC) latest statistics, Rivers State in the south-south leads the infection chart with 313 cases.
With the new confirmed cases, the total number of people infected has risen to 248,312 and the number of people who have died has risen to 3,077.

According to the most recent data, the total number of discharged cases is now 218,997, while the total number of active cases is 26,238.
Breakdown
According to the NCDC data, Lagos State, which is the epicenter of the disease, came in second on the log with 178 cases.
The Federal Capital Territory reported 19 cases, followed by Kaduna with 11 cases and Gombe and Ogun states with six each.

Three cases were reported in Ekiti State, one in Abia State, and no cases were reported in Bauchi, Delta, Nasarawa, Plateau, Ondo, Osun, and Sokoto states on Sunday.
