Mai Mala Buni, the Governor of Yobe State, has expressed condolences to the people of Gulani Community and its surrounds following the recent fire calamity that destroyed their farmlands.
The Governor, who was represented by Abdullahi Usman Kukuwa, the Commissioner of Transport and Energy, expressed shock and sorrow over the incident and vowed help to the victims.

Babayo A. Jalo, Chairman of the Gulani Local Government Area Sanitation Committee, addressed on behalf of the victims, thanking the Governor for his concern and stating that the State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA) has already dispatched a mission to the spot to examine the affected farms.
The Gulani Area Development Association (GADA) was, nonetheless, part of Governor Buni’s grieving delegation.

They also commended Daiyabu Ilu Njibulwa, Chairman of Gulani Local Government Area, for relocating Tetteba Grains Market beyond the main market square, as the organization had requested.
The communities of Gulani, Tetteba, and Garintuwo in the state were visited.
