The Ekiti State Government has announced the restriction of vehicular movement across the state on Saturday from 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Biodun Omoleye, Chief of Staff to Governor Kayode Fayemi, in a statement on Friday in Ado-Ekiti, said the restriction is to allow for the smooth conduct of LG elections in the state.
Mr Omoleye said only those on essential and electoral assignments are exempted from the restriction.
He added that students participating in NECO examinations across the state with valid proof of identification would be allowed unhindered movement.

He solicited the cooperation of residents towards achieving a hitch-free and peaceful election.
Before, during, and after the election, Mr. Omoleye reaffirmed the state government’s commitment to the protection of every individual in the state.
