Foluke Daramola-Salako, a Nollywood actress, has reacted to backlash directed at her and a colleague for singing Tinubu’s praise in a viral video.
Nollywood stars Foluke Daramola and Mr Ibu chanted “Asiwaju Bola Tinubu” in the viral video.
Nigerians were offended, and the celebrities in the video were booed.
They were accused by critics of collecting bribes to support Tinubu.

Foluke responded by saying she was not paid to promote any candidate and that she and her colleagues were at the event to advocate for peace in the country.
The event, she claims, had nothing to do with politics or backing Tinubu’s presidential bid in 2023.
Despite being a card-carrying member of the APC, the 43-year-old actress stated she has yet to endorse anyone.
“I need to set the record straight, I never support anyone, please don’t get things misconstrued,” the actress stated in a video posted to her Instagram page.
“What we did yesterday had nothing to do with politics; we are part of a group campaigning for Nigerian peace and togetherness.”

“Despite the fact that I am an APC card-carrying member, we did not go in the capacity of promoting Asiwaju Tinubu for President, and it was not a Nollywood thing.”
“I wasn’t paid in any way for this; it was just supposed to be a peace and unity effort.”
“Don’t get it twisted; it has nothing to do with politics or Nollywood; let’s follow the path!”
