President Muhammadu Buhari has expressed condolences to the families of Rev Obiora Ezekiel, the Founder and General Overseer of Christian Pentecostal Mission International, and Senator Gbenga Aluko, an Ekiti State politician, who died recently.
“The religious leader demonstrated love, peace, and joy in pursuing his passion for soul-winning, and worked assiduously for the growth and spread of the gospel within and outside Nigeria, holding outreaches,” the President said in a statement released yesterday by his Media Adviser, Femi Adesina.

President Buhari praised the General Overseer’s vision for founding the Christian Pentecostal Mission, praising his role in raising many spiritual sons who have gone on to mentor pastors, evangelists, and teachers (CPM).
As a result, he urged prayers for the departed’s family, particularly his wife and spiritual partner, Rev. Dr Mercy Ezekiel, and prayed that the Almighty God would receive the renowned evangelist’s soul.
Buhari, who expressed sadness over Aluko’s death on Saturday, urged family, friends, and political associates to find solace in God and the former lawmaker’s antecedents, according to another statement by Adesina.

The President expressed his condolences to members of the All Progressives Congress (APC), as well as the people and government of Ekiti State, on the death of a political leader who dedicated his life to bettering the lot of his community.
As a result, Buhari prayed for the repose of his soul as well as comfort for his family.
