The Centre for Socio-Economic Reforms (CESER) has hailed the management of the National Youths Service Corps and Asset Management Corporation of Nigeria (AMCON) for promoting entrepreneurship among young Nigerian graduates.
The Centre, in a statement signed by its Executive Director, Magnus Egure, lauded the collaborative efforts between both government agencies in equipping fresh graduates for real-life challenges.
Recall that the financial institution in collaboration with the NYSC recently launched an entrepreneurship and empowerment programme for corps members.
AMCON’s Managing Director, Alhaji Ahmed Lawan Kuru, said that the initiative is a way of complementing NYSC’s invaluable contributions to national development.
And according to the Centre for Socio-Economic Reforms, this is a welcome development that should be commended by all Nigerians.
Egure noted that for AMCON to have identified and embraced the NYSC and some of its policies, it shows that critical stakeholders have fully subscribed to the full mandate of the scheme as a key player in national development, peacebuilding and integration.
The Centre, therefore, applauded the NYSC for being the vanguard for promoting youth entrepreneurship in the last two years especially under its current leadership.
It, however, urged other agencies of government to collaborate just like NYSC and AMCON for a better nation.
