Governor Abubakar Sani Bello of Niger State has met with heads of security agencies, traditional and religious leaders, and local government chairmen to find a solution to the state’s banditry attacks.
The governor told the media after the meeting at the government house in Minna that the purpose of the meeting was to review strategies and take necessary steps to address insecurity in the state.

“By the grace of God, and with the current efforts, we will be able to overcome most of these challenges very soon,” he said.

Bello, who expressed concern about the state’s constant banditry and other forms of crime, said the government was well aware of the people’s difficulties.
He praised the security agencies for their efforts to ensure the safety of rural communities.
