Force Commander pays a visit to the troops bases

Major General Abdul Khalifah Ibrahim, the Force Commander (FC) of the Multinational Joint Task Force (MNJTF), has reassured troops that their operational capabilities will be reinforced.

General Khalifah stated that they would be provided with equipment and other necessary materials in order to improve field surveillance and tactical maneuvering.

He also reminded them that operations are the true test of a troop’s fighting spirit and that it necessitates good training and physical abilities.

This was stated by General Khalifah as he continued his familiarization and operational tour of troop locations at the forwarding Operating Base, Mallam FATORI, and Headquarters 5 Brigade in Damasak, both in Sector 3.

General Khalifah congratulated the troops on their operational successes by dislodging terrorist camps and denying terrorists freedom of action within their areas of operations, according to Colonel Mohammed Dole, Chief of Military Public Information, Headquarters MNJTF, N’DJAMENA CHA.

The purpose of the visit was to obtain firsthand information and to learn about the current state of affairs in the field.

The Commander reaffirmed his warning to the troops about the dangers of misusing social media, which can be used by terrorists as a source of intelligence on the troops’ activities and movements.

He was, however, impressed by the troops’ exemplary discipline and commitment to fighting Boko Haram terrorists.

General Khalifah urged them to maintain a high level of alertness and caution in order to put an end to BHT/ISWAP terrorism.

General Khalifah also praised the conduct and content of the briefings he received, which covered both FOB Mallam Fatori and HQ 5 Brigade Damasak’s operational activities, achievements, and challenges.

According to the statement, these formations and units have won significant and progressive tactical victories against the BHT/ISWAP insurgents in previous encounters.

He claimed that this paved the way for IDPs and refugees to be resettled and relocated to their ancestral homes.

General Abdul Khalifah, who was accompanied by some HQ MNJTF Staff Officers and MNJTF Sector 3 Commander Brigadier General GM Mutkut, praised the conduct and content of the briefings he received, which covered operational activities, achievements, and challenges of both FOB Mallam Fatori and HQ 5 Brigade Damasak.

Several tactical victories against the BHT/ISWAP insurgents have been won by this formation and unit in previous encounters, paving the way for the resettlement and relocation of Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) and refugees to their ancestral homes.
