A passenger bus plunged into the Niger River in the Koton Karfe area of Kogi, killing four people and leaving two others missing.
In a statement issued yesterday in Lokoja, the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) confirmed this.
According to the report, a Toyota Hiace bus carrying 15 passengers crashed into the river late Tuesday night.
The bus took off from Ijora Seven Up Under-Bridge in Lagos, according to Solomon Agure, the state Sector Commander of the FRSC, who confirmed this.
According to Agure, four people died in the accident, including a woman, and seven others were critically injured.

The Corps used the services of eight divers to rescue the victims, and four bodies were recovered, he said.
Agure stated that two female passengers were still missing and that all attempts to locate their bodies had been unsuccessful.
He claimed that two passengers were unharmed.
