Maduka: I’ll establish a seaport in Onitsha and create a business-friendly atmosphere

Dr. Godwin Maduka, the Accord Party’s governorship candidate, has promised to develop a seaport in Onitsha, the state’s commercial nerve center.

He stated that as governor, he would utilize his position to support the dredging of the River Niger, which runs through the area, as well as the construction of a suitable seaport to help enhance the state’s economic activity.

Maduka stated emphatically that constructing a seaport in the area will aid in increasing the state’s trade volume, hence boosting the financial gain of the impoverished in Anambra and the South East in general.

He urged people to support his governorship bid because he has good plans for the state and promised not to disappoint them if given the chance to serve.

“In Anambra, we are recognized for our trade. As a result, we’ll make certain that all of the elements that facilitate trade are in place. We’ll make sure that our roads are in good working order so that people can get there.

“An airport has been constructed. We can either improve it or leave it as is after inspecting it to ensure everything is in working order. I have stated that we will proceed with the expansion of the seaport to include Onitsha.

“This is due to the fact that it restricts our trade. It is not difficult to accomplish. You only need to find individuals who know what they’re doing and offer them conditions, which I’ve already begun to do, and we’ll be able to travel from the Atlantic Ocean to Onitsha, where we’ll have a seaport.

“It’s a federal project,” says the narrator. As a result, we will apply to them since I am confident that it will benefit our country. If they are unable to do so, but give us permission to proceed, we will.

“We will create an environment in which people will want to come to Anambra and trade. We’ll put them in a situation where they can succeed,” Maduka said.
