President Muhammadu Buhari established the Health Sector Reform Committee on Monday to start developing and implementing health-related reforms in Nigeria.
Vice President Yemi Osinbajo is the chairman of the committee, according to Garba Shehu, the President’s Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, who made the announcement in Abuja.
The team, he claims, will collaborate with state governments and the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA).
The committee was established after a consultant, Vesta Healthcare Partners, and the Federal Ministry of Health reviewed the Health Sector Diagnostic Report.
Vesta Healthcare Partners and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation will serve on the committee as resource persons and observers.
