Following his impressive performance in Chelsea’s Premier League 2-0 win over Arsenal on Sunday evening, Thomas Tuchel has dubbed striker Romelu Lukaku a “democratic leader.”
Tuchel stated that the Belgian international enjoys conversing with everyone.
Tuchel’s side defeated Arsenal at Emirates Stadium, and Lukaku scored on his second Chelsea debut.
The UEFA Champions League and UEFA Super Cup winners also got goals from Reece James.
Tuchel was quoted by Chelsea’s website as saying after the game, “I’m very happy with the way he [Romelu Lukaku] has integrated already.”
“He’s a smart guy who likes to be part of a group and is a democratic leader who speaks to everyone.
“He’s very friendly, humble, and competitive, so he adds something to our game that we didn’t have much of before, such as ball protection and playing very direct upfront into the last line.

“There is no better way for him to begin than with a goal. He came close to scoring a second goal, but Bernd Leno saved it, and he also assisted on a few half-chances and chances, so it’s a good start. Now it’s up to us to get better.”
Lukaku will now look to keep up his impressive form for Chelsea when they face Liverpool at Anfield on August 29.
