Three suspected motorcycle thieves were subjected to jungle justice by a mob of enraged mobs in the Ayobo area of Lagos State on Monday evening.

According to the Nigerian News Agency (NAN), the three suspects were lynched and set ablaze after allegedly stealing two brand new motorcycles in Olorunsola, Ayobo, Ipaja, Lagos.

The suspects took to their heels after allegedly stealing the motorcycles, according to an eyewitness who spoke on the condition of anonymity.

“Some commercial motorcyclists chased the suspected thieves down Koloba Road, off Alaja Road, in Ayobo, Ipaja, Lagos, and caught up with them.

“Initially, two were apprehended and lynched to death, while the third scurried for safety.

“He was later apprehended in one of Alaja’s streets and wheeled down to join the other two before they were set ablaze.

“While attempting to flee, the thieves injured a few people.

The witness stated, “Those who were injured have been rushed to an undisclosed hospital for medical attention.”

The police have been dispatched to the incident site.
