Governor Samuel Ortom applauds Och’ Idoma Agabaidu Elias Ekoyi Obekpa on his appointment as the new Chancellor of the National Open University of Nigeria, NOUN. He expressed hope that additional federal jobs will be brought to Benue State.
Remember that President Muhammadu Buhari authorized the nomination of Och’ Idoma and others as chancellors of Nigerian institutions on Thursday.
Governor Ortom’s congratulations message was contained in a statement released by his Chief Press Secretary, Terver Akase, and made accessible on Friday.
According to the statement, Ortom commended President Buhari for appointing the Idoma paramount ruler after expressing optimism that additional federal employment will come to the state.

“Governor Samuel Ortom, on behalf of his family, the government, and the people of Benue State, congratulates the Och’ Idoma, His Royal Majesty, Agabaidu Elias Ekoyi Obekpa, on his appointment as Chancellor, National Open University of Nigeria, NOUN, by President Muhammadu Buhari,” the statement reads.
“The Governor believes that the Och’ Idoma’s nomination as University Chancellor is a well-deserved honor. He believes that the supreme ruler of the Idoma nation’s abundance of expertise in a variety of previous capacities at the state and national levels will be extremely beneficial to the University.
“He expresses his gratitude to President Buhari for the appointment of the Och’Idoma and hopes that more Benue sons and daughters will be appointed to crucial government positions.
“Governor Ortom wishes His Royal Majesty, the Och’Idoma, a prosperous term as Chancellor of the University and prays that God continues to bless him with good health and wisdom.”
