It has been reported that the Former Inspector General of Police, Muhammadu Gambo Jimeta, is dead and the statement has it that he died on Thursday morning.
Moreover, President Muhammadu Buhari described the late police chief as “a person of great courage, intellect, and a real Nigerian Statesman”.
Buhari in an announcement mentioned, “Today, Nigeria lost a great son. He lived for the nation and served it with all his energy.
“May Allah bless his soul and provides strength to the bereaved household and the federal government and other people of Adamawa State to bear this irreparable loss.”
