Justin Bieber just shared one of the most intimate moments in the life of him and his wife, Hailey, by posting photos from a joint baptism they took part in together.
The ‘Stuck With U’ singer posted the heartwarming photos on Instagram which showed the couple in the middle of a baptism ceremony holding hands with their paster.
“The moment @haileybieber my wife and I got baptized together! This was one of most special moments of my life. Confessing our love and trust in Jesus publicly with our friends and family,” JB captioned the pictures.
In the photos, the couple can be seen in various stages of the ceremony — including the couple praying together and ending with them submerging into the water.
Justin’s longtime pastor, Carl Lentz, commented on the moment saying, “Amazing. Love you.”
Interestingly, E! host Jason Kennedy seemed to be involved in the ceremony somehow or might have been baptized himself, after commenting on the photos, “One of the top moments of my life doing this with you ❤️.”
A few celebrities sent messages to JB after seeing the photos including actor Taylor Lautner, who posted, “❤️❤️.”
Fans were blown away by Justin letting his millions of followers into such an intimate moment of his life, and flooded his IG with messages of support.
“THIS IS SO BEAUTIFUL,” one person wrote. “Wow! I can’t say I know much about baptism but I have always admired other religious practices. Good for you! ???” another added.
Another one of Justin Bieber’s baptisms made headlines several years ago after his pastor ended up doing the ceremony in an NBA star’s bathtub at 3 A.M.
At the time, Justin Bieber was being followed by Paparazzi constantly making it incredibly hard to have such a private and intimate moment.
Pastor Carl Lentz described the scene in an interview saying, “We went to four different places.” Adding, “I finally called my buddy Tyson Chandler.”
Chandler was an NBA star, living in New York at the time, and recieved a phone call from Lentz at 3 a.m. saying, “I’m like, ‘Yeah, I need to borrow your [rooftop] pool. He’s like, ‘I can’t get into the pool, but come and use my bathtub.’”
Of course, the baller’s tub was built for a 7-foot tall person, so it was perfect for the ceremony. Despite the time and place, Lentz described it as quite normal, but said, “It was probably one of the most special things I’ve been a part of.”
