Kano state government has on Tuesday approved the appointment of four kingmakers that would be responsible for turbaning the new emir Rano emirate.
In a statement from Kano state government house and obtained by PRIME TIME NEWS, said that the appointment of four new kingmakers followed the demise of the late emir of Rano, Alhaji Tafida Abubakar Ila, Autan Bawo, who died at the age of 74 on Saturday 2nd May, 2020 at a hospital in Kano.
The four kingmakers according to the statement include:
1. Rt. Hon. Kabeer Alhassan Rurum, member representing Rano-Karaye Federal Constituency at the National Assembly as Turakin Rano.
2. Dr. Yahaya Isa Bunkure Ph.D as Makaman Rano.
3. Hon. Justice Wada Umar Rano as Madakin Rano and
4. Malam Ada’u Isah Rano as Magajin Garin Rano.
The four selected royal title holder would according to the traditional rules of Hausa Emirates chose the next emir of Rano.
