‘My Husband Is Not Allowed a Female Best Friend’ – Veekee James

Veekee James, a fashion designer, has expressed her opinions on what kinds of friendships are appropriate in a marriage.

According to reports, she was speaking with VJ Adams on the Off the Top podcast.

The designer from Lagos claimed that because she believes she should be the closest woman to her husband, Femi Atere, he is unable to maintain a female best friend.

She clarified that this guideline helps them keep their home peaceful.

“Femi Atere can never have a female best friend; even if he does, I’ll occupy it with all of her and her body alone,” she declared.

She also discussed previous online controversy, claiming that she had once received hurtful remarks accusing her of stealing Femi from someone.

She claims that although the internet attention at the time had an impact on her mental health, she was able to move on.

Veekee and Femi were married on February 10, 2024, after becoming engaged in late 2023.

Earlier this year, the pair celebrated their first wedding anniversary.
