Aisha Yesufu, a prominent sociopolitical activist, has responded to Rivers State’s settled political issue.
President Bola Tinubu has taken over as Rivers State Governor Sim Fubara’s new master, Yesufu said.
Keep in mind that six months ago, Tinubu suspended Fubara due to a political dispute with Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory.
Along with designating a single administrator, the president also declared an emergency in Rivers State.
The state of emergency was revoked and Fubara was reinstated by the president last week.
Both Wike and Fubara declared that they had settled their disputes and that peace had returned to the state when he was reinstated.
In Abuja, Fubara and Tinubu had a private meeting on Tuesday.
“Wike gave Tinubu direct control of Rivers State,” Yesufu wrote in a post on X. Fubara’s master changed.
