UI Announces Special Undergraduate Admission Window Following UIDLC Change of Study Mode

All Post-UTME candidates who have shifted to the UI Open Distance eLearning Center as their new study option are eligible to participate in a specific screening and verification process offered by the University of Ibadan (UI).

The move is a huge opportunity for eligible applicants nationwide who might not have been able to enroll through JAMB or pursue conventional on-campus studies at a renowned university like the University of Ibadan, according to a statement from Prof. Babatunde Omobowale, Director of UI DLC.

Candidates must visit https://modeofstudy.ui.edu.ng/putme to update their data, he stated. After the update, candidates have two options for verifying themselves: they can go to the Admissions Office at the UIDLC Administrative Building Complex, which is situated at the University of Ibadan Extension along Sasa-Ajibode Road, or they can choose to verify themselves online on their site. Instantly, the interactive sessions start.

You can still take advantage of this chance if you are a qualified applicant but haven’t applied yet. Applying directly to obtain the respected UI degree is possible at https://modeofstudy.ui.edu.ng. An adaptable, technologically enabled blended learning environment is offered by the UI-ODeL mode.

With interactive course guides, live virtual lectures on Mobile Class, and improved in-person interactive revision sessions with the same faculty lecturers and committed E-Tutors, the learning experience offers a strong academic environment that accommodates a variety of lifestyles, especially those of young workers and entrepreneurs.

A minimum of five pertinent O’Level credits in a single sitting or six in two sittings are required of such candidates.

In order to learn about the university’s academic policies, how to use campus resources, and what student support services are available, Omobowale said that new and prospective students must attend an orientation exercise on Saturday, September 27, 2025, at the CBT Complex, UIDLC.
