Jalingo, a 100-level student at Taraba State University (TSU), was discovered dead at her boyfriend’s apartment on Friday.
Comfort Jimtop, the victim, was a student of mass communication from Taraba State’s Takum Local Government Area.
According to reports, her body was found in the afternoon, and the bed where she lay had empty alcohol bottles next to it.
According to sources, the incident took place in a compound that housed 15 residents, including her boyfriend. According to reports, all of the residents left the house as soon as it was discovered.

ASP Leshen James, the Police Public Relations Officer in Taraba, confirmed the development and stated that the boyfriend, Emmanuel Shata, and other tenants were being sought.
“No one was inside the house when our men got there. James informed reporters that the boyfriend and other renters had left the house.
He went on to say that an inquiry was started to determine Comfort’s cause of death.
“We are putting a lot of effort into finding the boyfriend and the escaping renters. To find out what happened, a comprehensive inquiry will be conducted,” James stated.
