Nasarawa Governor Sule Dismisses Claims of Endorsing a Candidate

Abdullahi Sule, the governor of Nasarawa State, has declared that God has not revealed the identity of his successor among the 28 candidates vying for the state’s governorship ticket from the All Progressives Congress (APC).
He did, however, promise to make sure whoever succeeds him fulfills their responsibilities.
Sule said this Thursday during a solidarity visit to Government House with members of the Forum of Former Local Government Chairmen and members of the Forum of Former Local Government Councillors.
Perhaps the candidate for governor hasn’t even begun, he said. And it can. However, people observe my genuine affection for each of them, and I am working to ensure that we have someone capable of continuing this status in the same manner as we already do.

The governor emphasized that he has not yet chosen which of the candidates to support, dismissing rumors that he is supporting a certain candidate.

“I am communicating with you. The individual who is capable of providing these possibilities will have my support. God hasn’t revealed that person to me yet, at least not yet. I encourage all of them going to compete, and I am friends with all of them.

Eleven of us ran for office in 2019, and ten of them came out and unwaveringly backed me. He remarked, “I will always be thankful to them for that.”

The governor stated that he would only back the candidate who could maintain the progress made by his administration. He also mentioned that Nasarawa State had a lot of potential and that he would only back the candidate who could take use of it.

“Although we have taken the bare minimum of action, we are making significant progress toward the future. The majority of these institutions are actually just waiting on the president to specify the day he will choose, even if he is sending someone to act on his behalf at the opening of the largest lithium processing facility in Africa.

We have given the state a chance to have a higher IGR as soon as he accomplishes it. Due to the vast amount of chances in Nasarawa, we will continue to open as investors arrive.

“We can now proceed to Riri from there. Riri, which is in Deddere, is likely to be the next big facility. They have begun the construction process already. We are now examining Amba, which will come next. We are proceeding in those ways.

“I can’t be here when all of these are being completed. I pray that, with God’s blessing, the person succeeding me will be able to continue leading the state to create an increasing number of chances.

This is the reason that if someone says, ‘I support this, I support that. It’s just grammar. Individuals are merely sharing their narratives. Initially, they claimed it was Senator Wadada; later, they claimed it was the State’s accountant general; still others claimed it was Dr. Faisal Shuaib. Governor Sule stated, “If you see people pacing back and forth like this, you know there is no truth in any of this, it’s just speculation.”
