According to the Dangote Petroleum Refinery, the ex-depot price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), commonly referred to as gasoline, has been lowered from ₦850 to ₦820 per liter.
The price change was reportedly included in a statement released by Anthony Chiejina, the chief branding and communications officer for the Dangote Group, on Tuesday.

In an effort to promote sustainability, the corporation declared that it will distribute fuel around the country using 4,000 vehicles that run on compressed natural gas (CNG).
The statement also stated that starting on August 15, 2025, “we will begin the phased deployment of 4,000 CNG-powered trucks for fuel distribution across Nigeria.”
The price cut was announced four days after Dangote raised the ex-depot price of Premium Motor Spirit to ₦850 per liter.
The price of gasoline at filling stations should reflect the new price, Nigerians will hope.
