Campaign Against Bayo Ojulari Is a Calculated Attempt to Destabilize Reforms – Aduwo

The foul propaganda, targeted harassment, and cowardly whispering campaign of slander being planned against Mr. Ojulari, the recently appointed Group Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL), have been strongly denounced by the Center for Convention on Democratic Integrity (CCDI).

“It has become clear that some disgruntled elements, many of whom have long fed fat on the systemic rot within the oil and gas sector, are deeply unsettled by Mr. Ojulari’s bold commitment to sanitize the NNPCL,” the non-governmental organization (NGO) said in a statement released Monday by its President in Lagos, Comrade Olufemi Aduwo.

Desperate to thwart the ongoing changes, these disloyal forces have turned to deceptive techniques, disinformation, and nasty insinuations in an effort to undermine public trust and foment division within the Presidency.

“Let it be stated without equivocation: Mr. Ojulari did not ascend to this office through intrigue or favoritism, but through proven competence, moral clarity, and an unwavering record of service,” the statement reads in sections.

His initial actions have already suggested a return to operational transparency, fiscal restraint, and the recovery of national resources from long-standing cartels and oil thieves.

We are aware that these adversaries of the country are now trying to trap security forces, deceive political players, and contaminate public areas after their illegal pipelines and privileges collapsed. The future of Nigeria’s independent energy is being attacked, not just a man.

“We urge all patriotic institutions, including His Excellency President Bola Tinubu and the National Security Advisor, to remain steadfast. The success of Mr. Ojulari is the prosperity of Nigeria. To betray him is to undermine the national survival and reform mandate. It is unacceptable for saboteurs posing as nationalists to hold Nigeria hostage.
