Former Governor of Benue State, Gabriel Suswam, has claimed that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is currently in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
According to reports, the country’s biggest opposition party is feuding over the role of National Secretary.
Suswam, who appeared on Channels Television’s Politics Today on Wednesday, stated that the Party’s interim National Chairman, Umar Damagum, has failed and that many PDP members no longer trust his leadership.

The former governor chastised Damagum for his agreement with Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike.
He concluded: “The acting chairman of the party has failed us, let’s call a spade a spade.”
When asked what he would do if given the chance, Suswam responded, “I would have done far better because I would not have entered into an agreement with the Minister of the FCT and then reneged on it.”
“I intend to reach an agreement in conjunction with stakeholders. The party is in an intensive care unit, and some people have survived. I believe that if the correct thing is done, which I doubt. “The majority of people no longer trust the party’s leadership.”
