Project Nigeria has not yet arrived at its aim, according to former President Olusegun Obasanjo.
According to President Obasanjo, it is still the duty of all parties involved to endure and keep working till the country regains its position among other nations.
At the NAF Conference Centre in Abuja, the former president made this statement at the public reading of former Jigawa State Governor Sule Lamido’s book, “Being True to Myself.”
In order to assist create a new nation, Obasanjo asked former Governor Lamido to abandon any plans to step down from active participation.

He told him that Nigeria has not reached its full potential and that everyone involved must do their part to see that the work is completed.
“We haven’t reached Nigeria, which is what we are fighting toward. And I think it is each of us individual responsibilities to make sure we reach that goal. When we are done, our work is not done,” he remarked.
Iyorchia Ayu, a former Senate President and national chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), was rumored to be reviewing Lamido’s autobiography, Being True to Myself.
Former Vice Presidents Atiku Abubakar, Namadi Sambo, and Peter Obi, a former Labour Party presidential contender, are also in attendance.
Gombe State Governor Muhammadu Yahaya, Jigawa State Governor Umar Namadi, and Plateau State Governor Caleb Mutfwang are among the governors in attendance.
The previous governors of Babangida Aliyu (Niger), Ahmed Makarfi (Kaduna), Gabriel Suswam (Benue), and Liyel Imoke were also present.
