To guarantee a smooth National Executive Council meeting and National Convention, the PDP established a committee on Sunday.
The party established the seven-member committee during an emergency meeting of governors and former governors in Abuja on Sunday.
Under the leadership of former Senate President Bukola Saraki, the committee has been tasked with making sure that the May 27 NEC meeting is free of all forms of animosity.
In response to the development, Saraki stated that the emergency meeting’s discussions were productive.
He added that the PDP governors, both current and former, discussed the party’s problems and potential fixes.

Sataki said the group was established to help the PDP find a new direction.
The governors of Zamfara, Plateau, and Enugu States, respectively, HE Dauda Lawal, HE Caleb Muftwang, and HE Peter Mba, are my brothers, and I shall enjoy working with them on the committee, which is led by my humble self.
Saraki said on X, “Other members are Sen. Seriake Dickson, Sen. Ibrahim Dankwambo, and Chief Okezie Ikpeazu, HE, former governor of Abia State.”
Additionally, he promised that he and the other committee members would fully dedicate themselves to completing the work assigned to them.
He continued, “We intend to give the task we were given our best effort.”
