Renowned Nigerian artist Kwam1, whose real name is Wasiu Ayinde, has criticized his mentor and senior colleague Ayinla Kollington for failing to return his benevolent gift.

Recall that Kwam1’s mother passed away on January 18, 2025, and was buried that same day in accordance with Islamic customs.

Kwam1, however, vented his rage in an interview with Agbaletu Radio’s On Air Personality, OAP Bamidele Adeyanju, recounting how he supported Kollington after his mother passed away and took care of all the money.
He expressed his displeasure and charged Kollington of giving him a poor return.

“I’m very angry with Alhaji Kollington for not reaching out and offering condolences when I lost my mother,” Kwam1 stated. He and I worked together to bury his mother. I encouraged him to give his mother a respectable funeral. I was in charge of all the finances and brought a number of dignitaries, including governors, to the funeral.

“Look at how he reimbursed me. After everything I did for him, what might have happened? When my mom died, he was in Nigeria, healthy and happy, and the only reason he could give was that I didn’t answer his call. Shouldn’t I feel angry?
