2027: Fayose Promises to Work Against Atiku’s Presidential Aspiration

Former Ekiti State Governor Ayodele Fayose has warned former Vice President Atiku Abubakar against running for president in 2027 on the Peoples Democratic Party, or PDP, platform.

Fayose has vowed to work against Atiku if he runs on the PDP platform.

He made the revelation when appearing on Channels TV’s Politics Today on Friday.
Fayose also stated that a southerner cannot become Nigeria’s president following President Bola Tinubu’s reign.

He stated: “I am telling you that if Atiku returns, I will work against him. It’s time to learn our lessons. Nigerians want to hear, decide, and understand.

“A Chief Executive’s power lives on as long as he does not abuse his authority.

“If an Asiwaju argues that because I am the commander-in-chief, my ADC should shoot that individual, should the ADC shoot him? No.

“The truth is that the party’s supremacy must be equitable and accountable. Irresponsible parents raise irresponsible children, who will experience irresponsible conditions, rebellion, and wrath.

“People can say what they like, but after Asiwaju’s tenure, let a Southerner come out, I will also come out and say a Southerner can’t be president of Nigeria.”
