The deaths of a groom named Abba Musa and the bride’s older sister, Maryam Sulieman, approximately half an hour before the wedding ceremony, caused tragedy in the Boto area of the Tafawa Balewa local government area of Bauchi State.
Two people were killed in an automobile collision, as was understood.
The entire town, including the families, is in a state of profound shock and despair as a result of the situation.
The tragedy happened when the victims were traveling from Murno, a village located roughly 5 km from Boto, to the event, according to an eyewitness.
Saminu Boto, the groom’s brother, told Leadership that the occurrence was an unfathomable loss that left everyone in a state of profound sorrow.

It is an unfathomable loss. Everybody in the community is in grief,” he stated. Relatives and friends are finding it difficult to cope with the unexpected loss, and the victims’ families are in complete shock.
Following the sad event, he claimed, the family house—which had been a center for preparations—had become a center for weeping and wailing, drowning the bride, Raihanatu Suleiman, and the entire family in grief.
The neighborhood has been affected by the twofold tragedy, which many locals have described as one of the most depressing days in recent memory, according to Boto.
Following the accident, the deceased were reportedly buried in accordance with Islamic customs.
