Obasa’s Loyalists Turn Ikeja Lodge into a Celebration Ground for Impeached Speaker

Supporters of Mudashiru Obasa, the impeached speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, flocked to the Ikeja Lodge on Saturday, January 25.

Supporters of the lawmakers were present to greet Obasa, who has not been in the United States since his impeachment, according to the information received.

Many people showed up to show their support for the former Speaker, who is scheduled to arrive in Lagos today, wearing crest-adorned t-shirts and caps.

While he was abroad in the United States, members of the Lagos House of Assemnly impeached the beleaguered Speaker, who is now facing allegations of fraud.

A new Speaker, Mojisola Meranda, a former deputy speaker of the House, took his seat right away.
