NAPTIP Rescues Nine Expectant Women from Abuja Baby Factory

According to the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP), nine pregnant women were saved by its agents from an Abuja baby factory.

Mr. Vincent Adekoye, the NAPTIP Press Officer, made this announcement on Thursday in Abuja.

According to Adekoye, the baby factory is located on one of the expansive estates in the Federal Capital Territory’s (FCT) Ushafa neighborhood.

He also said that a concerned citizen’s tip led to the facility’s raid.

He claimed that after being enlisted via an internet platform, the victims were imprisoned in an apartment within the estate by an unnamed suspected trafficking agent.

Adekoye added that Hajia Binta Adamu-Bello, the agency’s director-general, has praised the judiciary for the historic decision to convict and sentence Bishop Kenneth Duke.

According to reports, Duke sexually assaulted a 12-year-old girl who was a member of his Abuja church.

While cautioning that the agency would not spare anyone who violates any of its laws, the DG stated that the ruling will act as a deterrence to others.

As I mentioned a few weeks ago, NAPTIP will not spare anyone who is proven to have broken any laws, regardless of their status, including those pertaining to violence against people or human trafficking.

How is it possible to envision a 52-year-old guy abusing a 12-year-old girl? It is both criminal and painful. “I am glad that the convicted person has received the appropriate amount of punishment from the legal system,” she stated.
