Nyesom Wike, the Federal Capital Territory’s Minister, has promised to recognize the winning athletes who recently competed for the FCT in a variety of sports.
This was revealed by Wike on Tuesday in Abuja in a statement from the FCT sports department.
According to him, a reception is planned on Thursday to honor the athletes who competed for the FCT in the 7th and 8th National Youth Games and the 2022 National Sports Festival.

The honor, in his opinion, is to recognize the athletes for their sacrifices, patriotism, and tenacity, all of which have elevated the FCT.
“We are dedicated to the growth of sports in the FCT and will keep fostering the conditions necessary for them to flourish.
The minister stated that this aligns with President Bola Tinubu’s goal of empowering young people to reach their full potential.
