Al-Hikmah University in Ilorin, Kwara State, has awarded LUBCON founder and chairman Alhaji Jani Ibrahim an honorary doctorate (PhD) in recognition of his remarkable achievements in engineering, public service, and scholarship.

In addition, Jani Ibrahim serves as the Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines, and Agriculture’s (NACCIMA) first deputy president.

Professor Babagana Zulum, the governor of Borno State, was the institution’s anniversary lecturer at the 20th Convocation event.

This is also in light of the National Institute’s Alumni Association praising his legacy of service.

On behalf of the National Executive Committee and all of the association’s members, Ambassador E O. Okafor, President of the Alumni Association of the National Institute (AANI), and Brigadier General SK Usman, Publicity Secretary, sent a message of congratulations to Alhaji Jani, a former president and exceptional businessman.
According to the announcement, “This well-earned honor bears eloquent testimony to your outstanding contributions to the development of the country, your dedication to the principles of leadership and excellence, and your commitment to improving society through engineering, public service, and influential mentoring.”

“As a highly regarded leader both inside and outside of AANI, your accomplishments never cease to motivate and serve as an extraordinary model for others to follow.” The fact that Al-Hikmah University Ilorin bestowed this esteemed award upon you further demonstrates your longstanding heritage of humanitarian service and success in a variety of endeavors.

As we pray for more accomplishments, good health, and increased contributions to our country and humanity, AANI congratulates you and celebrates this milestone with you, your family, and your well-wishers.

Professor Noah Yusuf, the vice chancellor of the rapidly expanding Islamic University, praised Jani Ibrahim’s achievements in business and public service, adding that the institution should be honored for its exceptional men and women of integrity.

In order to assist Nigeria in overcoming its current moral degradation and social vices, Governor Zulum of Borno State urged faith-based institutions to generate graduates who are trained in spirituality and morals.

Governor Zulum encouraged Nigerian youngsters to embrace hard effort and humility in his 20th anniversary talk, “Two Decades of Excellence: Al-Hikmah University’s Impact on Scholarship and Educational Development in Nigeria.”

Zulum, who recounted being the son of a commercial driver and a peasant farmer who worked on the Maiduguri-Okene-Ibadan highways, counseled the young people to value hard effort, respect their parents, and make sacrifices for the betterment of society.

Shortcuts to success, in his opinion, frequently result in regret and catastrophe. “Humbleness gets you far in life, but hard work is good,” he said.

“Humbleness is the best quality; hard work is just one.” I returned to my village to work on the farm with my parents after earning my master’s degree. I could have stayed in Maiduguri and continued to wear babanriga, but I had to obey my parents, which is why I am who I am now,” he stated.

Alhaji Aminu Masari, the former governor of Katsina State, also spoke and praised Dr. Abdulraheem Oladimeji, the founder of Al-Hikmah University, for his significant contribution to high-quality education in Nigeria.

Oladimeji’s efforts to make education a priority in Nigeria have had a significant impact on the lives of Nigerian young, according to the two-term former governor of Katsina State.

During his speech at the university’s 20th anniversary dinner and award ceremony, Vice Chancellor Prof. Noah Yusuf expressed sadness that the university’s biggest problem is a lack of funds.

The VC added that the university’s failure to satisfy some of its most pressing demands is a result of the finance issue.

In order to create faculty buildings, dorms, and classrooms and offices that would be named after the contributors, he consequently pleaded with the university’s friends for help.

He went on to say that among the numerous issues the university is dealing with are research funds for academic personnel and scholarship scholarships for deserving students.
