On Saturday, January 11, 2025, President Bola Tinubu will leave Abuja to take part in Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week (ADSW 2025).
President Tinubu is attending the conference, according to a statement sent by presidential spokesperson Bayo Onanuga on Friday.
which, at the invitation of his counterpart from the United Arab Emirates, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, will be held in the UAE from January 12 to 18.
Leaders from around the world will gather at the summit to promote socioeconomic advancement and sustainable development.
Policymakers, industry, and civil society leaders will be able to discuss ideas to accelerate the shift to a sustainable economy and usher in a new era of prosperity for all at the event, “The Nexus of Next; Supercharging Sustainable Progress.”
Held yearly for more than 15 years, ADSW is a tribute to the strength of collaboration and offers a global platform to promote multi-stakeholder cooperation in addressing global challenges and advancing progress.

It has sparked meaningful coalitions and advanced the global sustainability agenda by fostering high-value agreements and strategic partnerships between governments, business titans, and renewable energy pioneers.
President Tinubu will highlight his administration’s reforms at the ceremony, including those pertaining to public health, transportation, energy sufficiency, and economic development.
In order to discuss matters of mutual interest, the Nigerian leader and his delegation will also meet with the leadership of the emirate.
The president is scheduled to return to Nigeria on Thursday, January 16, 2025, accompanied by Ambassador Yusuf Tuggar, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, and a few other high-ranking government officials.
