A Dream Come True!

I’m overjoyed to share that the House of Representatives has passed two critical bills I sponsored for the establishment of the Federal College of Agriculture Agila, Benue State and University of Agriculture Ute-Ukpo, Delta State, respectively.

The College of Agric Agila bill holds a special place in my heart as it’s a lifelong dream come true. As a son of Ado/Okpokwu/Ogbadibo Federal Constituency, I’ve always envisioned an institution that would unlock the agricultural potential of our people. Today, we’re one step closer to making that vision a reality!

The passage of these bills marks a significant step towards boosting agricultural education and research in Nigeria. Our youth will now have access to quality education and training in agriculture, equipping them with the skills needed to drive innovation and economic growth.

I extend my heartfelt gratitude to the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Tajudeen Abbas, PhD, GCON, the Deputy Speaker, Rt. Hon. Benjamin Kalu, CON and the Chairman, House Committee on Media and Public Affairs, Akin Rotimi, MHR for their support and leadership. I also appreciate my colleagues, particularly the House Committee on Agric College and Institutions for their tireless efforts in making this milestone possible.

To my constituents, the technical committee led by Prof Hyacinth Aboh, community leaders, traditional rulers, and other stakeholders, I thank you for your guidance and trust in this vision. Your enthusiasm has fuelled my passion to make a difference. Together, we’ll continue to work towards empowering our communities and promoting sustainable development!

Finally, I wish to dedicate this feat to Susan Agbenu Agbese, my first daughter who will be celebrating her 10th birthday in a few day’s time. I love you.
