The remains of three victims of a building collapse in Kano were on Monday laid to rest amid tears and wailing by family members, friends, and associates.
Among the victims included two children of the tenant of the ill-fated building and a nephew, who wawas residing with them.
According to Metro gathered that despite endless rescue operations, four days after the tragic incident, the first daughter of the family, identified as Dmilila, was still missing as of the time of filing this report.
The parents of the victims, who are currently receiving treatment at the hospital, are the only survivors of the tragic incident.
The mass burial, coordinated by Pastor Michael Eyien, was attended by a mammoth crowd, who thronged the Hamadiyya Cemetery to pay their last respects to the victims of the tragic incident.
The National Emergency Management Agency, in Kano, had on Thursday confirmed the death of two children while two others suffered injuries, following the collapse of a two-storey building at the Noman’s Land, Fagge Local Government Area of Kano.
The NEMA coordinator, Kano Territorial Office, Dr Nuraddeen Abdullahi, who confirmed the number of persons who died in the building collapse, said: “The agency received a distress call today at about 2:00 a.m from a Good Samaritan that a two-storey building collapsed at the Noman’s Land Quarters, Kano predominantly occupied by non-indigenes.
