A United Kingdom –based entrepreneur and event consultant, Akinlolu Jekins, has been awarded a honourary doctorate in Event Management by the Myles Leadership University in Cotonou, Benin Republic.
The honour was said to be in recognition of his contributions to the field of event management.
Reacting to the achievement, Jekins, who has worked with entertainment personalities such as Helen Paul, Akpororo, and Beejay Sax, said, “I am eternally blessed. God is the greatest. I am still standing tall. This is a call to do more.”
He added that his life was a testament to the fact that passion, resilience, hard work, and a thirst for excellence were some of the traits needed to thrive in life and business.
The certificate presented to Jekins was signed by the Registrar of the institution, Dr. Nana Arnold; and the Vice Chancellor, Dr K. Ravi Acharya.
